The Austrian parliamentary elections in 2017 felt like a turning point in contemporary politics: not only had the right wing party won a huge number of electorates, the green party had lost all it´s seats in the parliament. Art historician Robert Pfaller´s interview with the newspaper „Der Standard“ a few months later described the following momentum: „Moralisieren ist immer eine Verfallserscheinung“- „Moralizing is always a phenomenon of decay“ he said, specifying why the greens had weakened themselves with their excluding political programm. Inspired by the gesture of the raised index finger I poured a seemingly endless repetition of 12,000 left latex fingers. The tips of the object are directed threateningly in an invisible firing line towards the observer.
